I first started blacksmithing with my grandfather and great grandfather when I was 5 years old. That summer I frequently helped them make the nails that they were using to put the siding on a barn that I still call the "New" barn. (The rest of the family calls it the "Old" barn!)
The crucifix in the middle of the prototype for this piece was made from nails that I made that summer over fifty years ago.
Sheri includes a Calligraphy statement with each piece that reads:
"When the Love of Christ is fully enfolded by the human heart, Then and only then can it's light shine forth into the world."
Makes sense to me!
